     Leah Gubbay was the daughter of Moses Gubbay.1 She married Elias David Sassoon, son of David Sassoon and Hannah Joseph, in 1840.1 She died on 1 May 1878.1
     From 1840, her married name became Sassoon.1

     Sir Edward Elias Sassoon, 2nd Bt. was born on 6 January 1853.1 He was the son of Elias David Sassoon and Leah Gubbay.1 He married Leontine Levy, daughter of Abraham Levy, on 30 December 1880.1 He died on 2 December 1924 at age 71.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Sassoon, of the City of Bombay [U.K., 1909] on 22 October 1916.1 He was senior partner of Messers E. D. Sassoon, merchants and bankers.1

     Leontine Levy was the daughter of Abraham Levy.1 She married Sir Edward Elias Sassoon, 2nd Bt., son of Elias David Sassoon and Leah Gubbay, on 30 December 1880.1 She died on 22 March 1955.1
     From 30 December 1880, her married name became Sassoon.1

     Sir Ellice Victor Sassoon, 3rd Bt. was born on 30 December 1881.1 He was the son of Sir Edward Elias Sassoon, 2nd Bt. and Leontine Levy.1 He died on 12 August 1961 at age 79.2
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Air Force.1 He was chairman of E. D. Sassoon Banking Co Ltd.1 He held the office of Member of the Legislative Assembly (M.L.A.) [India] between 1922 and 1923.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Sassoon, of the City of Bombay [U.K., 1909] on 2 December 1924.1 He held the office of Member of the Legislative Assembly (M.L.A.) [India] between 1926 and 1929.1 He was member of Royal Commission on labour conditions in India in 1929.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the British Empire (G.B.E.) in 1947.1 On his death his baronetage became extinct.2

     Joseph Albert Sassoon was born on 24 January 1843.1 He was the son of Sir Albert Abdullah David Sassoon, 1st Bt. and Hannah Moses.1 He married Rebecca Hyeem, daughter of Jacob A. Hyeem, in June 1875.1 He died on 27 March 1884 at age 41, without issue.1

     Sir Philip Andrew Gustave David Sassoon, 3rd Bt. was born on 4 December 1888.1 He was the son of Sir Albert Edward Sassoon, 2nd Bt. and Aline Caroline de Rothschild.1 He died on 3 June 1939 at age 50, unmarried.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the Royal East Kent Yeomanry.1 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Hythe between 1912 and 1939.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Sassoon [U.K., 1890] on 24 May 1912.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1917.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the British Empire (G.B.E.) in 1922.1 He was appointed Under-Secretary of State for Air between 1924 and 1929.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) on 5 July 1929.1 He held the office of Under-Secretary of State for Air between 1931 and 1937.1 He held the office of First Commissioner of Works between 1937 and 1939.1 On his death his baronetcy became extinct.1
